Pause 2012

I began this project with my personal wish to preserve reminiscences somewhere without losing them.

Ever since my childhood, I always wanted my balloons to stay fully blown.

Nevertheless, they become deflated and ugly, so do my memories. I always hope to cherish my best memories but they fade and change into different remembrances than I remember.

I and trying to reflect these ideas through natural phenomenon and fish tanks. Natural phenomena such as waves, winds, and smokes can be seen but remain untouchable.

They can never pause to let us take a look at them closely. They change themselves differently than we imagined or learned. I thought the most effective way to express them was to use capturing object, fish tanks, and store them into photographs.

I would like to provide opportunities to bring back your nostalgia.
